Sabarmati Ashram Ahmedabad
Gandhi Ashram is the identity of the city of Ahmedabad. It is one of the most visited tourist places and top attraction destination in Ahmedabad by history lovers. It was an important place for the freedom movement of India, led by Mahatma Gandhi. Many important activities have taken place at this place.

Gandhi first created Kochrab Ashram. Upon returning from South Africa on January 9, 1915, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was in search for a place to settle himself and a small group of relatives and associates who were with him in the African struggle.
His political views still unformed, Gandhi chose Ahmedabad in the West Indian state of Gujarat. For three reasons “being a Gujarati, I’ll serve my country best through the use of the Gujarati language. Being the capital of Gujarat its wealthy persons will also make a larger contribution, I hoped” in his own words.
Kochrab ashram is located at Paldi area of the city.
Navjeevan Trust Ahmedabad
The Navjeevan Trust, located on the famous Ashram Road of the city, where there is still an eternal history of Indian independence, the Karma cafe is located at the Navjivan Trust compound. Navjivan Trust was founded in 1929 by Gandhi himself.
This organization, Navjivan Trust, publishes the literature and ideas of Gandhiji. Published more than 800 books of Gujarati, Hindi and English besides other Indian languages.
The museum located in the main building, where the old printing press machine, some rare photographs and books are available.
Karma cafe, Amdavad
Located at Navjeevan trust compound, this unique cafe in Ahmedabad totally dedicated to Gandhi ideology. Small library setup with the cafe having interesting books like Sardar Patel, Gandhiji, Mahabharat and more. Along with the healthy food, you can read books available here in the cafe. Also, no one can bother you, you can sit here as much time you want.
Here at Karma Cafe, they serve “Gandhi Thali” only on weekends. The speciality about this place is its payment system, you can pay whatever you want in a donation box no billing system.
This cafe serves healthy organic items like Thepla, Dhokla, Khichu, handvo, sev mamra, vagharela mamra and more other items along with tea and different coffees.
This cafe run by volunteers and the main purpose of the Karma Cafe that will benefit more and more people with Gandhi ideology.
